APRIL MEETING RECAP:
Our April 2015 Yeastside Meeting was held April 11th at Eagle Rock Lounge with over 55 attendees and over 45 homebrews to sample. The Bragging Rights Only winner was Ward Walkup IV and his (shhhh – top secret) Stout. Our club is looking forward to presenting this entry to compete with all the other homebrew clubs at the 2015 SCHF at Vail Lake May 1-3. LET’S GO YEASTSIDERS!!
Speaking of SCHF, at last count, we have 40 campers and about 25 homebrews ready to pour at the festival. Campers, please be prepped with a cobra tap and bucket if needed to pour your beer and if you didn’t let Josh Jensen know what you’re bringing to the camp site or festival, please do so a.s.a.p.
If you haven’t bought your CHA membership or purchased your event ticket, don’t forget to do that before the cutoff of April 17th at: calhomebrewers.org You will NOT be let in at the gate without pre-paid CHA membership, separate event purchase and a photo ID – NO EXCEPTIONS!
If you have any of the following items, please bring with you as well:
Folding tables, chairs, EZ-up canpoies, drip coffee pot, long extension cords, Christmas lights, 2.5 gal water jugs, firewood, lanterns, flashlights.
OUR NEXT YSB MEETING:
Will be at new member, Dave Lauridsen’s home in Glendale (watch your email for the address).
May 9th 2-6pm (yep, bumped again to the 2nd Saturday due to SCHF)
Good news…no limit on how many bottles of brew you can bring which sounds like a very busy day for UBER!!
